Northumberlandia (Lady of the North) is the largest simulation of a human figure in the UK. Looking down from above, this hill had the appearance of a long-haired, prominent girl with large breasts and gentle arms stretched to the sides. Wrapped around the grounds, rocks were zigzag paths, which further clarified the soft body of a girl.
This project cost 3.3 million USD, jointly built by the two sides, Blagdon Estate Land Management Fund and Banks Group.
From the highest peak of the hill is the young woman’s face. She turned to the far North Sea. People can drive, hike to the hills to visit this project.
Northumberlandia has been open to visitors since September 2012, with the ribbon cut being Princess Anne, daughter of Queen Elizabeth II. Since opening, “Lady of the North” has attracted a large number of visitors. 25,000 tourists are noted to have arrived here in the first weeks.

Although becoming a tourist attraction in England, Northumberlandia encountered many obstacles during construction. Many people have objected to this project, one of the reasons is the 30 m2 wide breast.
The architect of this project, 73-year-old Charles Jencks, had to convince and make many arguments for Northumberlandia to be completed. 1.5 million tons of clay, soil and stone were mobilized to create this work.
Northumberlandia is located near Cramlington, Northumberland, northern England. The building is 34 meters high and 400 meters long, located in a 19-hectare park. Local authorities hope that this will be a new British tourist destination, attracting more than 200,000 visitors each year.
