Van Gogh painted a picture of “Starry Night” in June 1889, inspired by the view of the room in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France. Scientists at the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Museum of Modern Art in New York (USA) determined the sky in the painting was painted in ultramarine and cobalt blue, while the moon was painted yellow. India is the same color as zinc.
