Many tourists say that if Sydney is the brain, Melbourne is the heart of Australia.
“Before coming to Australia, I heard a lot of people from Melbourne reminded them of San Francisco. After staying here for a few days, I understood why. The two cities have a lot of similarities …”, Elissa, travel blogger from USA, said.
The first day
Elisa chose the Collingwood area. Her place is spacious and comfortable, surrounded by many restaurants and cafes. “A perfect place to return after a day exploring Melbourne,” says Elisa.
She started the day with breakfast at Proud Mary. Her breakfast includes asparagus, rice, eggs, miso puree and coffee.

After breakfast, Elisa visits the Victoria National Gallery. This is considered a large art museum of Melbourne . “I was excited because we came in time for the Flower Obsession of Yayoi Kusama. Tourists coming here will see the space covered with fake flower petals,” Elisa recalls.
After seeing the exhibition, Elisa continued to explore Melbourne by visiting the botanical garden, having lunch at Gazi, visiting the Laneway and Shandong Mama Mini, experiencing the bar at the top floor of the QT hotel and having dinner cozy in Bang Bang.
2nd day
Elisa decided to take a wine tasting tour in the Yarra valley. This tour includes tasting at De Bortoli, lunch at Badger’s Brook estate, watching kangaroos at Helen & Joey Farm.
She was lucky to go to Yarra on Farmer’s Market only on the third Sunday of each month. At this market, Elisa can buy quality handmade goods.
3rd day
Elisa spends all day experiencing the Great Ocean Road. Considered to be Australia’s most beautiful stretch, the Great Ocean Road runs along the beautiful southwest coast of Victoria, passing amazing landscapes in Australia, including the famous rocky Twelve Apostles.
